Join Our Core - new competition from Ben & Jerry's

 

Are you the next Ben & Jerry’s?

Ben & Jerry’s are on the hunt for some bright sparks in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden & the Netherlands, who are creating cool new modules for sustainable business which will help make a difference in communities.

If you’re between 18 and 34 years old, and have a super sustainable business model stored away that demonstrates the following few things, they’d love to hear from you!

- Strong financial sustainability: long-term demand from local people and business for your product or service
- Positive social impact: will your model leave society better off for the next generation?
- Environmental awareness: does your business ensure the local and global environment is looked after?
- Innovation: is your approach substantially different from similar initiatives in your field?

How does it work?

The five best entries will each scoop a prize of Euro 10,000 and they’ll also get six months mentoring from Ashoka, who work with social entrepreneurs to develop their work.

The bright sparks will be assessed in London on the 22-23 of May, followed by a training day on the 21st July. They will then fly to Uganda between the 12th and 21st August for 10 days of social business knowledge sharing and to participate in a local development projects co-run by VSO.
