Mozambique

In Mozambique YA volunteers will contribute to the Millennium Villages programme in Mozambique, to promote sustainable community-led progress toward achievement of all 8 of the Millennium Development Goals. The aim of the project is to show how community-led approaches can help achieve these goals by 2015 by working in partnership with government and regional groups.

Volunteers are likely to be involved in a range of activities, from assisting the local municipality in area of environment, and raising awareness of climate change; working with young people in local community centres, youth clubs and schools; assisting Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) centres, and working with local authorities to support farmers in agriculture and business.
